Your feet have been telling you something.
Most footwear isn't designed to work with your feet. ANATOMICA is a sandal designed by a podiatrist who has spent her career looking at feet like yours - and who has the same problems herself.

The cause of many foot issues is simpler than you think
It isn't about the big days on your feet.
It's the ordinary everyday ones.
It often doesn't start with anything dramatic. It's the repeated micro-stresses that build up day after day that cause many common foot problems. You start to notice tired, aching or even painful feet when you're:
- - Taking the first few steps out of bed.
- - Standing at the kitchen sink.
- - Crossing the supermarket carpark
- - Wanting your shoes off the moment you get home.
- - Choosing the easy route, just to keep comfortable.
Small changes in footwear can make a real difference to these everyday stresses. Our ANATOMICA footbed was designed to help.
Our support
Why it's different.
None of it is decoration — every shape is there because the feet need it to be.
Breaking them in
Give yourself 2-3 weeks.
The contoured orthotic support feels very different at first — you'll notice the arches, especially if you have not worn orthotics before. That's not a fault, and it isn't a sign they don't fit. It's your feet being asked to do something they are not used to doing, they will need to learn how to move in a different posture again. Ease in over a week and the contours usually settle.
-
Days one and two
One to two hours
Around the house is perfect. Put them on, potter about, take them off before you'd think to.
-
Days three and four
Three to four hours
Add a short walk. You'll feel the rocker doing some of the work for you.
-
Days five to seven
Half days
Gradually increase the distance that you are wearing the ANATOMICAs for. Still avoid any intense activity.
-
After the first week
All day
Wear them the way you'd wear any sandal. Start testing longer distances in them. Once you are used to the support, most people don't go back to their old shoes.
Please remember: unfamiliar or slight discomfort is normal, sore or painful is not. If anything feels sharp or genuinely painful rather than just uncomfortable, take a day off them and start again a few days later. The body often gets it right on the second attempt because it learnt from the first attempt. And if something doesn't settle, talk to your podiatrist — feet are individual, and no single sandal suits every one of them.

About us
Real foot experts, with real foot problems, creating real foot solutions.
We get it — literally. Frustrated by the lack of options for managing her own lifelong foot problems, ANATOMICORE founder Dr Narelle Wyndow poured her wish list of dream biomechanical features into the design of the ANATOMICA sandal. As a lover of beaches and warm climates, a biomechanically designed warm-weather orthotic sandal was the only logical place to start.

Honest notes
About this first production run.
This is our first production run, and we want you to know exactly what you're buying.
The edge paint cracks and peels on some pairs. That's the finish applied around the edge, that joins the 2 layers of the upper together. It's cosmetic. It doesn't affect the footbed, the strap material, or how the sandal supports you.
This run is also the water-friendly one. The second run returns to full price at $285, so grab this deal now to try the Anatomica for yourself.
